Vincent van Gogh is one of Holland's most legendary painters. The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam owns the largest collection of his work and his letters. We where honored to be granted the opportunity to design their new website.

The design of the website consists of a very simple visual language that builds upon the identity Studio Dumbar made two years ago.

We've used a square grid (normally used for print), simple iconography, a set of lines and just one font to create a layout system that allowed for a great variety of page designs. The background colors follow the carefully selected palette by Studio Dumbar in order to lift out certain accents in the work.
